About The Artwork
Turkey, 1915. The group of people portrayed on this work are refugees from the Armenian genocide. In the middle sit the two men who provided them save harbour. The name, Directive 8682 refers to the instruction to the Turkish soldiers to get rid of their Armenian colleagues, in effect starting the genocide.
