"Dissolving Horizons" is a compelling mixed-media painting on canvas, measuring 50 cm by 50 cm. This artwork delves into the complex narrative of the deteriorating connection between humanity and the natural world, inviting viewers to reflect on the urgency of restoring balance and unity. The painting features an orange line that cuts across the canvas, symbolizing the intrusive presence of industry. It serves as a stark reminder of the human footprint, which has fractured the once-intimate relationship with nature. Within this dissonance, human-shaped stencils emerge, their forms hollowed and vacant, portraying the toll of our relentless pursuit of progress. Contrasting against this desolation, an abstract ocean image takes shape, representing the timeless resilience of nature. Its fluid contours and vibrant hues serve as a poignant reminder of the awe-inspiring beauty that remains, even in the face of human disruption. Above, abstract cloud formations float, ethereal and intangible, representing the lost connection between humanity and the celestial realm, once a source of inspiration and wonder. "Dissolving Horizons" urges viewers to reflect on the consequences of our actions and reevaluate our place within the natural order. It serves as a call to action, reminding us to seek a harmonious coexistence with the environment, reestablishing the bonds that have been fractured and embracing a future where humanity and nature can thrive together once more.

Like Charlie Chaplin's 'Modern Times'... An unconditional workforce from the Industrial Revolution to the present. The disconnection between industry and people, the break between people and nature, and the destruction of both by industry. An unquestioned authority and lives revolving around like lab rats. In my works, isolated individuals and a vanishing world dominate. Unfortunately, the world I oppose in my works is also the world I exist in; it reflects my anxieties, my unhappiness, my loneliness and the emptiness I receive in return for unlimited effort. There is a resonance with Spinoza's concept of Conatus, with the discovery of isolated individuals, the disappearance of the world, and the emptiness of constant work. Just as Spinoza suggests that there is an inner existence and striving for well-being in all beings, the disconnection and dehumanization depicted in the work echoes the consequences of a world driven only by industrial forces. The struggle for existence at the individual and collective level is integrated in the web of social structures and power dynamics. My work highlights the need to reflect on the impact of this disconnection on the human psyche and to regain and nurture a fundamental drive for connection, well-being, and harmony with nature.
