This portrait of a Diva Queen was inspired from the Gay scene in the Village in New York City back in the 80's. The subject matter is a collective view of the Diva. My work is inspired by Jack Levine and this is painted in dark values similar to his style. I hope that the viewer can identify with the subject and feel comfortable with the portrayal.
