Dorothy, come home Painting

Many times I ask myself what defines an object - is it the location, the size, the level of detail, the artistic attitude, the color? - Can a background become an object ?, I wanted in this work to examine this question a bit through dealing with the relationship between inside and outside and the path that needs to be crossed to discover that the real journey is made within us and the outer journey may allow things to happen but in the end, it is a framework. the flowers in the tire bed appear in their front position as a central object, but they are schematic and their lack of color, merges with the wall of floral wallpaper that it makes sense to find it more indoors and not outdoors. The flower bed tire and the scarecrow that guards them are not far from the house where I live, part of the extended home concept, part of the feeling of home I have when I walk around the kibbutz. Dorothy, the scarecrow, the lion and the tin man set out on a journey to fulfill their wishes with the help of a magician when in fact the key to the desired change including returning home, is in each and every one of them.
