Drama on the Central Line Painting

This is the memory of an incident I had on the London Underground some years ago. I had bought a two and a half litre tin of emulsion paint in my lunch hour and was rushing back to work on the tube. When I stood to leave the compartment, the tin of paint fell from my lap and the lid flew off, slopping paint all over the place! It was such a mess. I stepped off the train to call for help from the staff, thinking that they would have to take this carriage out of service. As I scanned the platform for a member of staff, the doors shut behind me and the train pulled out of the station. There were painty footprints all up the escalator. It was traumatic and an unforgettable incident! And no sign of any staff. I hope to convey the sense that something was really wrong, a drama on the Central Line.
