Painting is a part of a cycle called Alchemy of dreams Aleksandra Goreta, academic painter, manager of the "Vjekoslav Karas" Gallery (from the "Alchemy of dreams exhibition", 2016) "Analyzing the artistic world of Marina Fernežir, we see that she moved away from the foundations of her restoration profession, but embraced her artistic part. Marina decided to paint what she wanted and develop her own expression through her own topic. With the cycle of paintings "Alchemy of Dreams" she is presented in a series of notable exhibitions. Already in the very concept of the exhibition, we can read the two worlds that the artist presents to us. The first cycle "Hommage through time" is dedicated to the old masters, while the second cycle "Alchemy of Dreams", is freer, more open and personal. However, looking at both cycles, I find common elements regardless of their differences topics. The tendency to surrealism unites both worlds and represents the spiritual part of Marina Fernežir's art. Marina Fernežir's painting has its origins in reality, but I would say that it originates in a surreal state of consciousness. Being sacred to dreams is dedication to a world that is close to all of us, yet so unknown and far away. "Alchemy of dreams" is precisely a cycle of scenes composed of fragments of the imaginary world of nature in which he subconsciously lives Marina."
