About The Artwork
Picture inspired by my own stories about Giraffe Agnes, who lives in surrealistic Neverland. It is the first part of Giraffe's cycle. Agnes' adventures are metaphorical, surrealistic and sometimes funny. We all have dreams, our fantasy is unbound and free, in opposition to our daily life. So Giraffe Agnes eating Moon is metaphor of impossible and fantastic things... but well settled in our culture and language... because we all know, that the Moon is made from the very tasty cheese. I have chosen plywood as the background and acrylic as experiment - because usually I make such comic-style pictures using watercolour on paper.
