Each panel of the Generational Tapestry series explores a complex aspect of our foremothers lived feminine experience. The foundation of each piece is a mixed media assemblage of handcrafts and keepsakes from my grandmothers. A surface is raised above the collage to support the figure of a young woman. She is literally built on the legacy of the women who came before her.

Dreams Of Our Mothers explores the contradictions of religious role models, focus on home and an erotic fantasy life as prescribed in 'grocery store novels'.
