ARTIST STATEMENT I was born and raised in Michigan. Growing up in an artistic atmosphere allowed me to discover many possible avenues in the arts which inspired me to explore my creativity. Balancing being a mother and wife makes finding time for my personal growth and passion to be a challenge. I remind myself daily that this time is not forever and how important being in the present moment really is. My favorite medium is acrylic on canvas. I paint diverse subjects, including abstracts, landscapes, seascapes, florals and sometimes a combination of all. I am always open to broadening my horizons with something new! Combining textures, colors and blending is highlighted throughout my artworks, giving it its own unique stamp. I have been a licensed cosmetologist for 11 years. I enjoy singing karaoke, rollerblading, water-skiing, gardening, basking in the sun and going on family walks with our dog Piper. I choose to look at everyday as a gift (some days the struggle is real) and I am grateful to be able to do what I LOVE.
