Michael Kurz is an artist and filmmaker from Portland Oregon and the Columbia River Gorge. In his childhood, he studied art with Margarita Leon and Mark Bornowski. At age fifteen he exhibited a solo show at the Front Room Gallery. He went on to attend film school at the University of Southern California. Back in Portland, and more recently, Michael became the video producer for the mayor. After the sudden death of his father in 2013, Michael returned to fine art, producing a collection of energetic paintings he calls "Groundings."
