About The Artwork

DunruchanD stands leaning northwards in the hills west of Muthill in Perthshire in Scotland. It is frequented by sheep as shelter and Raven's as perch. Local legend has it to be a burial marker for Roman soldiers who died battling the local insurgents. So minimum 2,3,000 years old. Possibly much older. Originally vertical. Sketched live on a cold but sunny February day out hiking and drawing. Art is over two pages of a ring-bound sketchpad.
