Dusk and Its Secrets Painting

I have always have been obsessed with dusk. A better way to say it, I have always been in love with dusk. There is no other time of day where I feel the magic and mystery and secrets and veil between the worlds thinner more than at dusk. Someday in the future, when I am preparing to leave this earth, I am hoping to crawl my way to a beautiful spot with soft trees, long grass and wildflowers ... dusk falls. I inhale deeply. I'm gone. This painting is one of those spots. My paintings, small size, 5 x 7 in,.are abstract works in acrylic that dig deep into emotion, mood, depth of feeling, spirit, and the transformative power of magical thinking. I love expressing spacious concepts down to gentle ideas visually in a small space. Using purposeful color, distinctive paint textures, spontaneous abstract composition, I strive to create dreamy snapshots of metaphorical moments in the natural, nonphysical, mystical and spiritual worlds. Like a poem, I journey deeply into each painting to find its identity for its title. The titles put air in my artwork’s lungs. I call my work “Visual Poetry.”
