About The Artwork

Here is my latest encaustic art painting. This painting is done with the following mediums: Wax, Oil Paint, Ink, shellac, and gilding. The painting is 11 X 14 on primed birch wood panel. Unframed. We have been dealing with wildfires and smoke all summer, it's so bad many folks have to stay indoors. This is my vision of what the planet will look like in 20 years, if we continue down our present path. I like the intense colors on this artwork, and the texture buildup of the clouds of smoke. This painting has accretion on both planet and clouds, giving it a 3D effect. The painting has a really surrealist vibe. One of a kind work of art. Global warming occurs when carbon dioxide (CO2) and other air pollutants and greenhouse gases collect in the atmosphere and absorb sunlight and solar radiation that have bounced off the earth’s surface. Normally, this radiation would escape into space—but these pollutants, which can last for years to centuries in the atmosphere, trap the heat and cause the planet to get hotter. Earth CO2

My art is a reflection of things that inspire me, and bring joy to everyday life faith, nature, abstract, portraits. My style is Expressionism, Modern, and figurative. I enjoy painting wildlife, fish, underwater scenes, faith paintings, and angels. When I paint angels I get a sense of peace and serenity. The underwater scenes are inspired by 30 years of scuba. I also paint wildlife for I am out in the Colorado mountains quite often. My other works can be found at my website https://artallegory.com he mediums that I use are Oil, Watercolor, Encaustic, and Pen & Ink. The Mixed Media paintings incorporate things from nature such as petrified wood, lapis, sea shells and other stones. I retain all reproduction rights on images, artwork, and original paintings. You can find some of my paintings on display at the Brighton, Co. "Color of Love" art display at Brighton City Hall Sept -Jan.2020. The Littleton Fine Arts Museum Nov-Dec. 2019, 2020. Artist Statement: Those who speak in spiritual terms routinely refer to God as creator but seldom see ‘creator’ as the literal term for ‘artist’. I am suggesting you take the term ‘creator’ quite literally. You are seeking to forge a creative alliance, artist-to-artist, with the Great Creator God. Personal Statement: I believe we are all stewards of our planet; each individual should do whatever they can to preserve our wildlife, ocean, forests and air. Stand up for your beliefs, and focus on the positive things in life. Life is short, use your time wisely. Love, Laugh, make new friends, and enjoy Art!
