Science says neural activity of the Brain results in that which we term the ‘Mind’ or mind as being an ‘Emergent Property’ of the brain. I’ve always been fascinated by the doctrines of the Mind- Body complex as discussed in Schools of Yoga and Zen Buddhism, and recently stumbled upon the philosophy of ‘’Emergentism’’. The color palette is inspired by my grand mom’s precious Ikat saree collection which, as a child, I found stunning. The two white squares are highly textured and a bit raised. The white blandness constants nicely with a highly saturated, brightly colored canvas, as they seems to emerge out of the support to have their own identity. The rich colors make this artwork vibrant and dramatic.
