The painting is made using encaustic technique. Encaustic paint is made from a combination of beeswax, pigment, and damar resin, and is worked by heating and melting the materials. You never know how the wax will behave after heating, where it will melt and what kind of patterns it will give. You need to trust the flow and look for a picture in what has already turned out from the temperature. The technique is a mix of multiple layers of wax and wax crayons that create depth and subtle color vibrations. The painting is very textured. I like this technique for its originality and textures. It's impossible to create two identical works. This is a very fun process. Medium: Artist's Quality Encaustic and Wax Crayons Surface: Encaustic Painting Cards Dimensions: 4.09" x 5.75" (10.4 x 14.6 cm) Unframed Signed Original Artwork Encaustic is a very ancient technique, dated back in the antique times. This paintings are very durable (examples remain from ancient Egypt), but they are susceptible to high temperatures, so they should not be hung in a place which may get excessively hot, such as near a radiator or in direct sunlight. ATTENTION! KEEP IT AWAY FROM HEAT AND FIRE! The picture should be also protected from deep scratches. Don't put any pressure to the surface to not damage. Over time, the painting might become dusty or slightly oxidized by the wax. In this case, it is advisable to wipe with a slightly crumpled kitchen paper towel and the wax artwork regain its original brilliant color and shine. Has a pleasant wax smell. NOTE: The colors shown on your screen and/or web viewing devices may vary slightly from the actual painting or print colors. The images in-home might not be to scale, and serve for illustration purposes only. Interior photo may not reflect the actual size of work. Always check the exact size of the painting!

Germany
A full-time Ukrainian watercolor artist based in Braunschweig (Germany) since spring 2013. I was born and grew up in Poltava, Ukraine. I’ve dreamed to be a painter since my childhood and only after my 25th birthday I’ve started to paint. 6th November 2012 was the best day in my life – my first art class. Traveling and painting has been my big dream, which finally came true in 2013 when we moved from Poltava (Ukraine) to Braunschweig (Germany). I find inspiration in a beauty of nature, flowers and plants, in the beauty of the environment around – from ancient to modern architecture, cityscapes, minimalistic landscapes, and clouds, sunsets, endless sky. To know the materials better I have visited several factories of art materials producers - Hahnemühle (April 2018), Royal Talens (May 2018), Escoda (March 2019). Furthermore, I work and cooperate with world producers of art materials - Hahnemühle, Schmincke, Da Vinci, St. Cuthberts Mill, ShinHan, Royal Talens, Escoda, Rosa, Tombow. I am a member of German Watercolor Society since April 2018 and a member of International Watercolor Society in 2018/2019.
