YEMMING Charles Hugues is a talented artist born on May 25, 1992, in Dschang, Cameroon. His educational journey includes a high school diploma in science, a bachelor's degree in geography, Dipes 1 and 2 diplomas, and a certificate in sculpture. His passion for art and creativity began at an early age, leading him to explore drawing and painting through self-teaching methods and active participation in the Fine Arts club at the University of Dschang. YEMMING's dedication to honing his artistic skills led him to participate in various workshops and cultural events, such as the Kante workshops in Batié and the Yelwata festival in Maroua. In 2021, he furthered his expertise by undergoing sculpture training at the Mbalmayo Institute of Artistic Training (IFA), earning a certificate that qualified him to share his knowledge as an art teacher at the bilingual technical high school of Maroua. His artistic journey has been adorned with numerous exhibitions and international showcases, including "Art of the Mind" at the Mutato Art Festival in Nigeria, "Connecting Borders with Master of Art" in Brazil 2023, "Parallel Universes" at Evolucionarts, "Express Arte 2023 Galeria Gisel Duran," and participation in the 6th International Watercolor Biennale "Tension" 2023. Currently represented by the Bamako Art Gallery, YEMMING's work is deeply inspired by nature and emotions derived from his personal experiences. He skillfully explores the intricacies of human relationships, portraying beauty, joy, sadness, and the myriad nuances of the human experience through his art.
