About The Artwork

"Epsilon" is part of a series of abstract paintings created during summer of 2017 at a seaside resort. I painted all of them on a small balcony overlooking the Aegean sea.

Kosmas Panagiotidis is not actually a painter. He is an actor that paints. He was born in Thessaloniki. In addition to his studies at the Commercial School, he studied Acting for three years at the School of Zissos Charatsari and one year at the René Simón School in Paris. He then goes to Rome for 2 years and attends filming of great classic films including Fellini's "Dolce Vita" and William Wyler's "Ben Hur". He participates in the films "La Cambiale" and "L 'Ecrivain Public". In 1978 at the age of 58, he holds brushes and paints in his hands for the first time and starts painting with passion. In the same year he takes part to Thessaloniki Film Festival with the film "The Carnival" as a screenwriter, director and protagonist, taking the 3rd Prize of Directing. In 1979 he again took part in the Festival with the short film "Top Six", dedicated to the child's year. In 1992 he wrote the script for the film "Nostimon Imar" (Sweet day of return) directed by Giorgos Patelaros, in which he starred. Ηe has participated as an actor in many films and series including: "Donousa", "Dream No 2", "The Ring", "Two For A Job", "Love For Sale", "Our Police Department", "Casa Di Makaroni "," The Backourias "," Race of the People ", " Elli and Anna "," Receive Appointment "," The Dead Traveler " of Papadiamantis, Kazantzaki’s "Theater "," Betrayal " Agora "," The World Again "," Happy Days "," Contact ", " San Justo "," Bekas Police Officer "," Zoi Xana "," Gorgones "," Who Catch Us "," The Sea ". During the 1995-1996 theatrical period, he participated in Chekhov's "Outcast" project, which was brought up by the theater company "Hope", in the role of Figs. During the theatrical period 1997-1998 he plays the leading role at Erena Adamidou’s play,"The Robbery". The work was presented at "Theater 28" in Athens, at the "Art Theater" in London, Paris and New York. In the summer of 1998 he took part in the play by Dimitris Pistikos, "The Man Who Has Come From The Water," in the role of the Lord. In the winter of 1998-1999 he plays at "Technohoros Under Skian" theater the one-act performance of Chekhov "The Swan Song", while in the period 1999-2000 he plays "The Robbery" and "The Swan Song" at "Theater of the Day". He recently starred in Nikos Corneliou's feature film "Music of Persons", which won a special prize at the 2008 Thessaloniki Film Festival.
