Art Description

Painting: Acrylic, Spray Paint, Pastel on Canvas.

This is painting no. 1 from my Rock Art Series. For an extensive description about this artwork, please read more at my site by following this link: http://cherieroedirksen.com/the-rock-art-series/

This painting was subliminally/intuitively painted to the music of an alternate Brit rock pioneer band. I paint whatever the music invokes. I have blogged about the whole experience (with 'start to finish' photographs): http://cherieroedirksen.com/2012/07/31/what-radiohead-looks-like-through-the-end-of-my-brush/

This painting (and music) evoked certain keywords that I scribble down on the side of the canvas. Some of the words were:

-Other worldly
-Pain and anguish
-Pleasure
-Loss and frustration
-Chaotic sound that blends into perfect harmony/order
-Being unconventional/out-of-the-box living
-Celebration (of being different)

This was part of the Rocking Art Exhibition held at the Karoo Art Hotel 23/12/2016 - 05/01/2017
