About The Artwork

Even Aristotle argued that art is the reproduction of only the possible, not the actual. After all, the real embodiment of the ideal is the world itself, nature itself, the man himself, and all real life. But this is not a piece of art. Since art is depicted not real, but possible, then it already gives us pleasure and makes us think about the theme of the depicted. Therefore, referring ourselves to the art of the past, we ask ourselves questions that, we think, open the veil of the past. For example: why were the sculptures of antiquity created? What was there in them that fascinated and called into the distance, where there were gods, prophets, and faith in those forces that could influence human destinies? We are all from there, from the great ancestors who traced their genealogies from the gods and imprinted them in stone. The ancient sculpture is only an approximation to the divine, and people were and remain people, even in stone. But some of the people were able to transfer the Word of the gods into this world. This connection went through the prophets, who at one time or another of their functioning had a human body so that their appearance was close and understandable to people, and the degree of their capabilities is determined by a specific word given to him by God. The prophets remained prophets to say this Word to people, since those, turning to the higher spheres, could not directly communicate with the Almighty, due to their limitations. So, a marble room with a marble floor. A bearded giant on a marble throne. Moses is a prophet who gave people knowledge. My goal was to show the passage of time. There are people in the center of the picture - their time is fleeting, they come and go to these halls to see the eternal - what the marble statues show. The time of the statues is limited by the time of the marble. And the time of marble is personified with the time of the gods, which means that time in marble is the essence of comprehending the eternal in the fleeting. As long as there is a time of the gods, there is also faith in them. The picture refers us to the space of the past, this is not a hall of a particular museum, but a collective image of antiquity. The central figure is Moses - the prophet surrounded by divine figures made of marble: Venus, Apollo. He is a guide and mediator between God and people, between the eternal and the fleeting, between faith and unbelief, between soul and body, which means that while humanity can contemplate the statues of the great, there is still time for him to enter eternity. I was born and live in Saint Petersburg, Russia. I began my career at the art school in 2010, later I studied at the art gymnasium at the St.Peterburg Stieglitz Art Academy (2013-2015). Most of the basic knowledge and skills I received in the gymnasium. After graduation, as the winner of the All-Russian Olympiad of schoolchildren in art, l entered the St.Petersburg State University of Industrial Technologies and Design at the Institute of Decorative and Applied Arts without exams.I learnt various teqchniques such as mosaics, embroidery, stained glass, tapestries etc.In 2018-2020 I was coached by monumental artist professor and academician Alexander Bystrov, and easel artist professor and academician Pesikov V.S. when I was an auditor in their workshops at the St.Petersburg Academy of Arts. These workshops was a logical progression of my academic training. Now I am a student at the St.Petersburg Academy of Arts. I took first and prize places in various art spaces and competitions and also acted as an expert at creative forums and festivals in St.Petersburg. I lead many masterclasses among the creative youth of St.Peterburg. In the process of learning different techniques and using different materials, a worldview was formed and valuable experience was gained. Thus, skills and abilities accumulated gradually, these are painting, graphics, batik, wall painting, and many more. I like to work in various techniques and always get new impressions, develop new opportunities. I love experiments and discoveries for myself in my creation. After all, each artist represents individuality, his vision of the world, and conveys it in his way. At this stage of my life, I am most fascinated by oil painting and graphic portraits. I do paint quickly and immediately move on to the next work or I paint several works at once, simultaneously sketches for them. Any kind of creativity is a way of communicating one's own kind, a way of expressing the human essence in this world. What does a contemplative person experience when looking at a work of art? Is it possible to compreand the hidden language of the transmitted? If so, then he takes a step towards gainino access to that part of our mind that is beyond our control. This is the discovery of the unknown in the subconscious, which, as you know, open up new horizons of knowledge. Works are in private collections in Europe and Russia.
