Evolution Painting

Self taught artist and qualified interior stylist in love with texture, using different mediums including concrete, cement, acrylics, silicone, oils and sand. Originally from Manchester which holds great memories of good times had in the Hacienda and more. Born and lived in Hulme over the Mancunian Way. Also in Charles Barry Crescent, brutalist blocks that have now been demolished, a great shame I loved those buildings and maybe that's where my love of texture, concrete and appreciation of urbanisations with a soft edge began. During my twenties I moved to London to continue the fun and adventure of life in an even more diverse place. I love London and have spent more time there than anywhere. It was there I trained as a interior decorator. I had success in the design field, designing and manufacturing furniture for show flats and high end interiors. Living in the East End and working in the south gave me a great overview of the city. I've always loved creating art, now I'm in Spain with my Jack Russell ‘Lulu” I find I'm inspired by my surroundings, on our daily walks I appreciate everything around me. Torremolinos, Malaga is where I have landed, sea, sand, sun and the scene surround me, so not so far from Manchester after all..except the sun. Always where I can I reuse canvases. Too often things are just thrown away without regard for those around you or the environment. Sustainability, mindfulness and being kind has become my norm. I’m not perfect but I do what I can. I try to give everything a second chance and stop it from feeling unwanted.
