"F It" captures a moment of serene acceptance and tranquillity against the backdrop of a shifting sea. In this black-and-white painting, I depict a woman standing in the ocean, her presence embodying a calm acceptance of the constant changes and flows around her. Her relaxed posture signifies a release from struggle and a full embrace of the ever-evolving reality. The sea, influenced by Georgia O'Keeffe’s abstract and fluid interpretations of nature, is rendered with a mix of realism and organic abstraction. I drew inspiration from O’Keeffe’s ability to transform natural forms into expressive, almost abstract shapes. This influence is evident in the sea's dynamic textures and its interplay of turbulence and stillness, symbolising life's unpredictable changes. The black-and-white palette underscores the timeless quality of this moment, highlighting the deep emotional resonance of accepting and making peace with life's fluctuations.
