This is a mixed media artwork. I used different materials, includind more traditional - acrylic, pastels, ink, but also elements of collage, pens and pencils and also some spider gel for nail design. The title of the set of 3 artworks FOMO means fear of missing out, a social anxiety stemming from the belief that others might be having fun while the person experiencing the anxiety is not present. FOMO is a kind of disorder of people who often use social networks comparing their lives with the virtual pictures of other people's lives. I've made this artwork when started to feel sad and lonely, surfing the Instagram pages and looking at all the adventures, trips and beautiful life of others while I was sitting at home and had no chance of experiencing anything like others did even beside the pandemic issues. I felt like life was passing by while I was still at the same place. I needed to put my emotions on canvas. Couple of weeks later I bumped on the internet article about FOMO and realised that it's what I have been feeling for a long time but just couldn't explain and name it properly. That's why I decided to title the set of 3 paintings on that topic FOMO. The painting is signed on the back and goes with the certificate of authenticity. Canvas mounted on a stretcher frame.

Hanna Borowska is a mixed media artist based in Poland whose painitngs are in private collections in 3 countries - Belarus, Ukraine and Poland. She participated in group exhibitions nationally (years 2013-2018). Borowska believes that a piece of art is something that should be made by hand, not with electronic devices. She is convinced that living in the era of technology and virtual life is the reason why people often feel lost and lack of real warmth, kindness, affection. Hanna claims that traditional art is the best way to affect our mental condition, to help us feel like humans again. Her artworks are about our emotional life and inner world of views, fears, hopes and believes. Her painitngs are full of symbols, metaphors, spiritual references and hidden meanings. Borowska paints the world around us as a reflection of our psychological condition.
