About The Artwork

This work was inspired by the feeling of looking into a crowd or recognizing a sea of strange and unfamiliar faces when living in an urban backdrop. These are reminders of when I lived in Buenos Aires, Argentina as a small girl and young woman. The busy streets, the hustle and bustle of city life, and an endless parade of faces, and people that I willl never know personally or ever see again but crossed my path once, the mystery of imaging what narrative lead these strangers lives, a ignorant bliss if you will.

I am a scientist and engineering professor who spent most of her career focused on discovering new breakthroughs in my field. However I always had a secret passion for painting. I have accumulated a large collection of my paintings, and want to share my art with the world. I spent every spare moment in creating vivid and striking paintings that explored the topic of women in their many different roles and relationships. I love the way that art allows me to express myself in a way that science can't, and the satisfaction of seeing my work come to life on paper or canvas. For me, painting is a fulfilling experience that complements my work in science and I put passion and dedication into each piece. I was born in Argentina, and traveled all over the Americas and Europe, soaking up the culture and exploring new ways to express myself through art. Throughout my travels, I continued to work in science, in research labs around the world. Wherever I went, painting remained a way to connect with the world and express my innermost thoughts and feelings.
