About The Artwork

A composition of three figures. The artist, his wife-muse and their daughter. They look like a single whole. The figures are tightly pressed against each other. In the center is the author himself, the artist. The hands of his loving women reach out and touch him. He is their support and protection. So it was in real life. This is an early painting when Vladimir was fascinated by Cubism. Therefore, we see chopped shapes, the infusion of one shape into another, geometric stylization. Limited palette. Everything is decided through brown, blue, gray and white colors. The work impresses with the sincerity and purity of the artistic language.

Marushko Olga Nikolaevna (21.10.1959) I am an artist, a widow and independent representative of an artist Vladimir Marushko. Vladimir left an inheritance about 200 picturesque canvases, a huge number of pictures, sculptures and collages. Now the main part of collection of the artists works are in the city Obninsk of Kaluga region, where I live. Together with my children I promote his art and sell his painting. Vladimir Vladimirovich Marushko (03.03.1952-14.11.2010) He was born in Belorussia, in village Kolodnoe of Stolin circle of Brest region. We have graduated together with Vladimir Ivanovo College of Artists in 1978 with specialty an artist of décor in Russia. After graduating of college we got married. Also together we were teaching at the same college. We also were leading a social work for promoting of an art. We were the members of All soviet union Society “Knowing”. We were working a lot as artists. We were the active members of avant-garde association “ARC”, effecting people with our energy and our ability to work in sphere of painting. In 1985 by an invitation of an administration of a factory “Komavant-garde” we moved to the city of Sobinka of Vladimir region. There Vladimir was heading a new-opened group of esthetic for an artistic décor of many surfaces of that textile production. Vladimir had his own workshop and he was working a lot. Painting and graphics were filling his restless and versatile life. Since 1995 during some years he was a member of International Federation of artists by UNESCO. At these years we organized our first personal exhibition, which took a place in the cinema –house “Voskhod (sun-rise)” in the city Sobinki. The last years Vladimir was fulfilling some orders for decorating of some public and private interiors. In august of 2012 a personal posthumous exhibition of Vladimir Marushko took a place at the Museum of Art in city Ivanovo. Here were represented more than 100 of exhibits. What is the painting of Vladimir Marushko? It is a self-expression through the riot of colors, multi-layered texture, embodiment on canvas of his life stories, limitless love to his family, devotion to his friends…All this belongs to the painting of Vladimir Marushko.
