I am a big fan of film and jaws was one that really stood out from my youth.Robert Shaw’s character Quint was to me the most rounded and believable in the whole film and expressed the onset of danger by a mere move of the eyebrow and I tried to capture that brooding presence in this peice

I was born and grew up in Leeds and now currently live in a small village approx 10 miles from york. I studied art at school and continued with "A" art and art history in college concentrating on M.C.Esher and Van Gogh as initial influences and attended courses on photography and photo development. I also qualified as a carpenter and enjoy wood carving. I built myself a purpose built studio to paint in and the majority of the works I have displayed on Saatchi have been produced in there.
