I am always inspired by the Ontario, Canada countryside. Even driving on a main highway will give you views of the earth beyond the roadway. I absolutely love big skies and let them dominate my painting. Skies set the mood. In this painting, it is a tranquil feeling that the viewer should acknowledge. Just imagine looking out your window and enjoying this view. I use fluid acrylic to paint my landscapes on paper as I love the flow to allow colours to blend .

I received my Fine Art Degree from The University of Guelph in 1974. (Ontario, Canada) and have been a practicing printmaker and painter since then. I had a studio in an art complex called the Williams Mill for 18 years and recently gave it up at the end of 2019.Was great to have the interaction with the public .Sold SO much and as it was a working studio, I was also able to talk to the public about my techniques..My home studio in Guelph is open to the public for the Annual Studio Tour in October, the weekend after Thanksgiving. The 2020 year will make it a Virtual Tour because of the Covid I taught printmaking at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ont. for 18 years . until the Dept. closed in 2009. Love to teach painting workshops . Enjoy both landscapes and abstracts! Love creating layers of colour. And skies in my Farmland Series show my skill with the fluidity of clouds.
