"Fertile Horizon " Painting

The painting, "Fertile Horizon" is acrylic on upstretched, #10, 15 oz heavyweight canvas. The art is painted on canvas stretched over painting frames and then removed. The edges are rough and uneven as you may see in the photos above. I am an artist who, among other subjects, paints landscapes in an impressionistic and expressionistic style. My inspiration comes from the agricultural fields that surround the city where I live. These fields stretch out to the foothills and on one side stretch to the ocean. What fascinates me is how the fields meet the bluffs above the ocean, creating an empty horizon where you’d expect more land or structures. On the bluffs the wind sometimes makes the crops look like the ocean's surface, and I enjoy capturing that in my paintings. I use acrylics to create colorful, large-scale pieces that convey the emotions and beauty of these landscapes. My work often features dramatic skies and nature-inspired scenes, aiming to bring a sense of the outdoors into any room. Designers and decorators have chosen my art to enhance their clients’ homes, appreciating the unique perspective and colors. Each painting is an attempt to show the textures, colors, and feelings of the landscapes around me.
