ABOUT THE ARTWORK
Introducing "Fiat Tipo Bianca," a captivating acrylic painting on canvas that I created in 2020. The artwork measures 85x100cm, and features me in my dad's old car, a Fiat Tipo Bianca, sitting in the driver's seat and waving to my mom who is standing outside. The bright, sunny day is depicted with a clean, minimalistic style that emphasizes the white color of the car and gravel on the ground. I drew inspiration from a childhood photo, and the gesture of greeting my mom from the car has a symbolic meaning for me. This artwork allowed me to reconnect with my past and bring to life a cherished memory. Painting cars is a common theme in my artwork, and this piece is no exception. The clean, vibrant brushstrokes of "Fiat Tipo Bianca" lend themselves to the minimalistic style of the artwork, which fits within my broader artistic practice. This painting was showcased at my personal exhibition at Atelier Montez in Rome. I AM a visual artist, art director and film producer. I was born in Pescara (Italy) in 1994, I currently live in Rome, where I graduated in Economic Sciences in 2018. I founded my Creative Hub, Il Varco srl, with which I produce cinema and art exhibitions. I founded Prisma Art Prize, an art prize curated by Domenico De Chirico of which I am artistic director and which has its exhibition venue at Contemporary Cluster in Palazzo Brancaccio, Rome. MY ARTISTIC PRACTICE currently focuses on painting. I paint using various mediums (acrylic, oil, industrial paint, wall paint, spray), mainly on canvas. My figuration investigates the existence of man in contemporary society, representing his loss of identity within the technological and globalized reality. My work aims to be a criticism of contemporary society, where human beings are seen as consumers without intimacy and dignity. My subjects express strong incommunicability, in a universe full of repressed energies. However, I try to find harmony within my images, working primarily through color complexities.
