About The Artwork
This was the first beetle that caught my eye and wouldn't get out of my head until it was painted. It kicked off my string of beetle painting subjects, and there is something cheery about the yellow that lifts the spirit. This is painted using high quality acrylics and parts of the black detailing is done in fine tipped ink, all on fine, heavy art paper. The entire work is finished with varnish to protect from dust, UV rays, and yellowing.
