Artist Dmitry Vasiliev was born in the city of Kamensk-Uralsky in 1972. I went to children's art school No. 1 in the city of Kamensk-Uralsky a year earlier than expected: from the 3rd grade of a comprehensive school. Since then, drawing has captivated a young inquisitive mind so much that it has become a lifelong vocation. Dmitry consistently passed professional cutting at the Sverdlovsk Art School from 1987 to 1991, and then at the Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture. I.E. Repin (Academy of Arts) in the workshop of V. Sokolov in the period from 1992 to 2000. As a young student of the Academy of Arts in St. Petersburg in the mid-90s of the twentieth century, Dmitry worked part-time in portraits, for which he had to travel illegally across Germany. The young master's street work made an impression on the local gallery owner, who immediately made an offer to work in the New West gallery in Berlin. Thanks to this, by the time he graduated from the Academy, Dmitry had already become a participant in several exhibitions in Germany. Studying with representatives of the second generation of the great Ilya Repin's pupils strengthened adherence to principles in the artist's character. If you write, then it's no worse, otherwise it's better not to take it. Dmitry Vasiliev defended his diploma work at the St. Petersburg State Academic Institute of Painting, Sculpture and Architecture named after I.E.Repin even before the final completion of the work. The painting "Peter's Denial" received the most favorable reviews from the teachers who watched the process. Contrary to the advice of the masters to save time at the sketch stage, Dmitry chose the difficult, but correct path - to stage the plot itself. Having created the scenery and selected his acquaintances for the roles of characters, the author also captured himself in this picture. Purposefulness, self-organization and creative skills of the graduate have earned the highest praise from the teachers. Later there was fruitful work with a private gallery in New Zealand, joining the Union of Artists of Russia of the St.
