ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This was one of my first paintings with a palette knife. I painted on a large wood panel, while listening to latin music, feeling the passion of a flamenco dancer and boldly hitting the panel with a palette knife loaded with thick paint. I didn't get fussy and overwork it, but instead let each stroke stay the first time. I left a lot of negative space as well which leaves an airy openness to this piece. No details, just movement which allows the viewer to finish the story. She can be anyone, she can be you!
