Jignesh Panchal (b.1981, Ahmedabad, India) studied Diploma in Drawing & Painting at CNCollege of fine arts, Ahmedabad, 2006. His works have been exhibited in solo and groupshows in India and abroad with various galleries and art fair including The 9th Supper atStrumpfe, Germany, 2012, Fragments of Imagination, Palette Art Gallery, SHE - TheDivine, Ojas Art, Desolate, Museo camera, Shifting Seasons, Palette Art Gallery, India artfair,2018, 2019 & 2020.He has been an artist-in-residence at the glogauAIR, Berlin, 2014, 2015 &2016.Jignesh’s works are built up through layers of paper and sometimes overlapped with variousdrawing mediums. He tries to represent a layering and compression of time and place withthe cultural association and an act of moving and adopting from many contrastingconditions. It also represents a new perspective emerging from his previous art practiceusing juxtaposed abstracted images of urban settings.
