ABOUT THE ARTWORK
The "Flower Power" series are the most recent paintings of Jose Maia. The inspiration came from his garden and also he was inspired by the work of Matisse, Vincent Van Gogh, Edgar Degas, Fantin Latour and Pablo Picasso. Acrylic on paper gave him the best way to achieve an excellent result by adding two paintings of the same theme combined (one in a dark, the other in a light background) providing the viewer with a dazzling and sublime, visual and mental experience.
