Flowers In The Attic Painting

The studio was quiet on this dreary, rain-soaked day in February of 2021. The world outside was still and muted, the effects of the Covid pandemic felt even in the idyllic coastal town of Santa Barbara, California. For me, however, this stillness was a blessing. It allowed me to fully immerse myself in my art, something I had been longing for. But as much as I relished in the solitary nature of painting, there were times when I craved the company of others. On those occasions, I would join a zoom call with fellow artists, finding solace in the presence of strangers who shared my passion. Covid brought its fair share of surprises, even for someone like me who thrives in isolation with paint as my only companion.
