In these pieces there is the textural quality of natural objects such as stone, water, sky, or mountains, connected by gradual transitions and instinctive flows. Also, composition is very critical for Arturo. He often uses the golden rule of thirds, to create tensions and continuities that provide the energy and expression of the piece.

Born in Mexico, Arturo’s formation years were spent absorbing the rich traditions of his country and his family’s many influences: there were opera singers, journalists, artists and writers. Arturo’s first formal studies in Art took place at Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes, the famous institution founded by Fridah Khalo and Diego Rivera. With a degree in Fine Art from the University of Texas, Arturo’s career is thriving. His work is in many collections nationwide, as well as in UK, Germany, Canada, Mexico and Spain. He currently owns and operates a teaching studio in Naples, Fl. His work is represented by Galleries in Miami, Houston, Denver, and Charleston. He is the recipient of many National and regional Awards, as well as publication in National Magazines such as International Artist and Juxtapoze.
