ABOUT THE ARTWORK
This was a trip to Roda (Rawdah) Island in Cairo, Egypt, famous for its rich history. During the Islamic period Roda Island was the site of royal palaces and gardens. I went to the southern tip of the Island to visit one of the oldest Islamic buildings in Egypt, the Nilometer, and discovered a beautiful palace next to it - Manasterly Palace. Fogg coming from the waters of the Nile made everything around look mysterious. Buildings of modern Cairo on the other side of the river looked far and unreal, and even sun was not bright as it is usual. Made on Saunders Waterford paper, 300 gr, 100% cotton, acid free.
