This is an original acrylic canvas painting of a forest in flames which represents a forest fire which could be caused by global warming. I have tried to interpret the colour of the fire using cadmium red, cobalt blue, titanium white and mars black acrylic paints to represent the colour of the flames. Painted in an abstract and stylised manner, my aim was to show the devastation of a wild fire. The painting was long listed for the Visual Art Open 22 and exhibited in The Castle Park Arts Open in 2022. Supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity This painting was exhibited in the Liverpool Arts Fair 2023 inside the Royal Liver Building in Liverpool

I am a Landscape and Wildlife artist specialising in original and unique works of art. Finding my inspiration in the natural world with it's endless variations in shapes, forms and floral patterns. The wonderful colours and different forms of nature influence and inspire my artwork. The captivating beauty and awe-inspiring landscapes that I have seen, visited or imagined along with the amazing animal kingdom are the basis of my collection of paintings. I also like to convey a sense of atmosphere in my paintings using a vivid colour palette, experimenting with colour and creating rich vibrant paintings with a contemporary style . My compositions can sometimes take an unusual approach and I am influenced by a variety of artists including the Impressionists such as claude Monet and post Impressionists like Vincent Van Gogh. My design background means I often gain inspiration from artists that feature paintings with patterns such as Gustav klimt and Wassily kandinsky. My paintings are sometimes impressionistic and semi abstract and occasionally I like to paint a more detailed piece of artwork which uses a more photorealistic style like a cityscape. My favourite medium is acrylic paint due to the fast drying quality of this media, as I like to paint prolifically. I also create mixed media pieces of artwork and I like to paint with watercolour, I don't align myself with a specific art movement I just like to create paintings as a way of expressing myself and to develop further as an artist.
