In this painting I paid attention to contrast between cold and dark tones in combination to warm, soft almost pastel like. Sunset is the most favourite part of the day for most of us, in Golden hour I wanted to capture the feeling we have while experiencing it at the seaside. Every day there is first and last, before the new one begin again. Golden hour represents the last wave of the day, the last performance/last breath before the sea calms and rest to start the new day again. • Prepared to be ready to hang, oil painting on canvas. My name is Nina Albiniova. Born and raised in Slovakia but about 6 years ago I moved to the beautiful city of Milan in Italy. Growing up at an 8 hours drive from the nearest sea, I had always wondered what it would be like to look at the horizon and see nothing but water as far you can see. Often, the things furthest away amaze us most. My inspiration comes from water as a whole. I just love looking at the sea and being in or near the water. The connection I have with the sea is for me something I don’t experience with anything else. The sea has infinite amount of moods, shapes and faces that amaze me. I feel like there is so much I want to express and tell by painting this specific subject. I try to translate my feelings into my paintings and offer the viewer an unique experience. Calling out his/her memories or simply transport them to being at the sea in the moment -almost being able to smell the salty air.
