About The Artwork
Gadreel is part of my Fallen Angel Series. The beautiful mysterious woman in this painting is portraying the Fallen Angel Gadreel, who was said to have been the angel that guarded the Garden of Eden from evil, particularly Lucifer, who managed to trick Gadreel into letting him in. (S)he is said to have deceived Eve, this is why Gadreel's collar is made of a bullet belt (to hint at what happened after Eve was cast out of Eden) and an apple is seen before her.

Coming from a long line of visual artists and graphic designers, as well as poets and Arts Teachers, I myself went working in pre-press design, graphic design and finally took a chance to study Fine Arts. I earned my Bachelor as well as my Masters of Fine Arts in Germany, at the renown State Academy for fine Arts in Karlsruhe. Where I worked with internationally well known artists like Franz Ackermann (who was my mentor when I was his Master Student) Antje Majevski, Andreas Slominski, Simone Wester Winter, Gerd van Dülmen and Horst Antes. While working as a professional artist in Loss Angeles, I also teach kids and teens Fine Arts Classes at my studio.
