About The Artwork

I imagined the first movable property created in the beginning. A garden where tens of thousands of trees, wild flowers, and healthy weeds grow in abundance and insects and animals proudly form their world. Where clear and mysterious rainbow skies and fresh air fill the atmosphere. In the future, I look forward to the revival of the garden in the beginning by cherishing the garden that is in danger of collapsing with the peace allowed by healthy nature in each heart. I'm moving the garden little by little on my canvas, promising that time. In my GARDEN, seeds are scattered and colorful flowers bloom, and when the garden is embroidered, butterflies fly in and create a rhythm in the quiet garden. The triumphantly flourishing weedkiller grass is probably a paradise for insects! It is a rich garden with various fruits. The dense forest, where densely grown trees cover the sky, exudes clear air vigorously and choruses of all kinds of birds ring out.

I was born April 14, 1962 in Wonju,Korea. I grew up in Jeonju and graduated from Jeonju Girls High School in 1981. I studied at Ewha Womans University in Seoul and majored in computer science. But I had been making porcelain crafts and copper plate crafts as a hobby and in 2009 began painting. I had 7 solo exhibitions and many group exhibitions. I have been working on the painting continuously. I express what I want to say through pictures. My painting is a kind of language that expresses what I want to say in visible objects. At the beginning of the painting, I tried to express the structural attractiveness and the stimulation of the color, the form, and so on, focusing on an object and observing it. I had drawn post-impressionist and expressive paintings that generally express intensely with intense colors, rough touches, and thick textures. These days, works are attempting to take abstract expressionism. I speak through the painting in the picture of nature, city, house, things, people, and sometimes an informal form by using colors, lines, and actions. There are thoughts about Existence, all sorts of human emotions, feelings such as compassion, plea, justice, completeness, thanks and happiness etc. Painting language is different from the common language. So it is necessary to find clues of the interpretation in the medium or transmission method used in the picture.
