Esteban Rivero (Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1979). His formation includes drawing with Quique Alcatena, painting with Martin Riwnyj, silk-screen printing with Andrea Moccio and Psychology in the University of Buenos Aires (UBA). He`s been part of several solo and group exhibitions in Argentina, Bolivia, Spain and the USA. The subject matter of his work centers in the figure of American superhero, displaced in grotesque form to the daily reality of a house-hold, south-american heroism. Humorously using his own family as characters of his works, the artist recovers the heroic and brave force of the common man who indicates the daily injustice and tries to stop its advance. Heroes who create their uniforms with sheets and spectacles for a lack of budget, politically refined villains and scientists maddened by the lack economical of support shape this universe of eccentric characters. Esteban Rivero (Buenos Aires, Argentina, 1979).
