About The Artwork
This life-sized painting began as an exercise in blind contour figure painting. I put my hand and brush to the surface, closed my eyes, and began to paint. "Seeing" only in my mind, I blindly worked across the canvas. After sensing that the basic forms were done, I opened my eyes. I loved the lines and flow, and decided to finish it with a monochromatic sienna palette. Full size of the painting is 70 x 70 inches, leaving ample canvas to stretch to its 65" x 65" x 1.5 image as shown. It is signed and back and ships in a tube. This is especially safe for oversized works. Rolled canvas can be easily stretched (placed onto wooden stretcher bars) by a local framer upon arrival.
