Abandoned streets Silent buildings memories lost Ghost town whispers tales. View from a coastal town toward the sea. Huge tree where the shadow of the tree is upside-down with great colors. There is a person on the road toward the sea (almost a ghost). Why is this town without people? The depth of the painting is strengthened with a rather dark tree in front, opposite to clear colored shapes in the middleground. We have a direction toward the sea.

I am a Danish hydrologist currently working as a principal investigator and researcher at the Geological Survey of Denmark and Greenland at Øster Voldgade 10, 1350 in Copenhagen (working in close cooperation with Copenhagen University institute for geology and geography). I am known for my research in the field of hydrogeology, with a focus on groundwater resources and their management, as well as the impact of climate change on groundwater systems. I have published many papers in the international scientific journals, and I am also a member of several scientific organisations.
