About The Artwork
This painting was done from my personal reference while visiting the Giraffe Manor in Nairobi. The resident Rothchild’s giraffes, including this juvenile, roam freely and are used to close up encounters with guests. The conservation program to build the population of endangered Rothchild giraffes and then to release to the wild has been very successful.
