About The Artwork
I usually paint women with dark hair. I was inspired to represent the beauty of the ginger spiced locks! Looking for inspiration I researched Deities of Ireland. Reading the story of Airmid drew me to create her floating in the heavens. As the tale goes, her father killed her bother Miach. Airmid wept over her brothers grave. Then what arose from the grave were healing herbs of the world (365), the number of Miach's joints and veins. Airmid's father became angry and destroyed the herbs. Till this day, only Airmid remembers the secrets of the healing herbs.
