It is very unfortunate that this beautiful bird, the Great Green Macaw now belongs to the group of endangered species, with their numbers decreasing every year, mainly due to loss of their habitat. I was mesmerized by the play of colors on its wings and the varying shades of green in the feathers and once again awed by Nature's creation. I can only hope that this gorgeous bird doesn't become extinct from the face of the Earth. This is an original watercolor painting on Arches 140 lb. cold press paper. It comes signed on the front bottom corner. Unframed painting size: 10 x 8 in.

After a career in Advertising in India, when I relocated to the United States, the love of Fine Arts led me to go to the library, check out a vast array of books and self-teach myself the finer nuances of painting in oil and watercolor. My subjects of painting are usually interesting views of nature. Anything which stimulates my creativity or captures my imagination through its shape, color, texture or form becomes a focus for my work.
