Liz Campbell is a contemporary artist from Clemson, South Carolina that creates Expressive Figurative Art. It is a playful and bright combination of abstraction and the female figure. She has been creating since she was a little girl. Doodling all over anything she could get her hands on. As she got older and life got busier, she stopped creating for the fun of it. When she was 15 she became debilitated by Lyme Disease. After an intense 5 year struggle, Liz miraculously found her way back to health. She was healthy, but felt more lost than ever. That’s when art found her, again. Slowly but surely, through the power of freely creating, she found herself. This led to Liz helping other people with Lyme Disease, using art as a part of their healing. She then attended the Milan Art Institute to pursue her passion for painting. Liz now spends her days painting in her studio in the heart of downtown Charleston, SC. Her process is her therapy and her paintings are a result of the playful manner in which she creates. To Liz, time in her studio is usually a painting party - dancing, blasting music, and letting the piece unfold from the wildness. Liz wants to shower people with that cloud 9 feeling when they encounter her art. Plain and simple. painting makes Liz happy and as a result Liz makes happy paintings for the world to share in that joy.
