Artist Connie Tunick grew up in the Illinois heartland and is a graduate of Northwestern University. She is an educator and children's art specialist with an MA degree in Education from California Lutheran University, Thousand Oaks, California, where she lives. The experimental quality and artistic sense of play that can be found in children's art is integral to her work. "Working experimentally allows me to play with concepts and imagery while reinventing my art. The process of art making is as important to me as the finished product.
