Contact us.Macarena Haase is a Chilean visual artist with a Master’s degree in Art History from Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez and a background in Aesthetics and Visual Arts. Her work is deeply rooted in an exploration of materiality, focusing on the contrasts and interactions between diverse materials such as oil and acrylic paint, as well as the interplay of textures, densities, and the fluid dynamics of pigments on various supports.
One of her signature techniques involves the use of copper pigments—a mineral native to Chile, reflecting her connection to the country’s rich natural resources. Through her practice, Macarena investigates how materials behave and transform, emphasizing the tactile and sensory aspects of painting. Her work captures the dynamic relationships between paint, surface, and form, creating compositions that challenge traditional boundaries of the medium.
Macarena’s paintings have been exhibited both in Chile and internationally, including Florence, Italy. Based in Pichilemu, Chile, she continues to develop her artistic practice, exploring innovative methods while engaging with her local community through workshops and art initiatives.
