About The Artwork

Introducing The Gummy Bears Mini Collection: A Teddy Bear's Playful Expression' - a whimsically minimal art collection that draws inspiration from MUKA's iconic teddy bear character. Each piece in this collection showcases the signature teddy bear face, adorned with an enormous, infectious and gummy smile. The oversized grins of these 'mini gummy bears' serve as a delightful portrayal of Teddy's playful side. In contrast to pieces where Teddy is often depicted without a mouth, these artworks embrace a large, exaggerated mouth, radiating a sense of playfulness and warmth. The collection invites you to explore the joyous world of Teddy (and yourself), where the absence of words is compensated by the exuberance of expression.

MUKA (b.1992) is a multi-media fine artist who specializes in contemporary art. She is a native Texan and currently splits her time between Houston, Texas and Los Angeles, California where she works as an artist, juror and curator. MUKA’s work explores the concept of the “inner child” and examines how self awareness and authenticity play important roles in one’s ability to grow. She draws inspiration from her own mental health journey as well as trending topics in modern society. By combining both, her style comes alive with bold, impactful, and colorful statement pieces. Her techniques include charcoal, acrylic, spray paint, oil pastel, ink, resin and using burning candles to paint with the smoke. MUKA’s work can be found in numerous international private collections, publications and select galleries.
